Preparing Fruit for Healthy Smoothie Recipes

The most delicious healthy smoothie recipes have ripe fruit as their
main ingredient. You can use any type of fruit in smoothies, but ripe
organic fruit is best if you can get hold of it. If it's not organic
then it's a good idea to peel it.
Here's how to prepare fresh fruit for healthy smoothies.
- Plums, Nectarines, Peaches, and Apricots:
Wash, remove the stone, and slice

- Bananas, Pineapples, and Citrus:
Peel and chop. The pips of citrus fruit are bitter so you may prefer to remove them.
- Melons and Papayas:
Halve melons and papayas and scoop out the seeds with a spoon, then scoop out the lovely juicy flesh straight into the blender.
- Pears and Apples:
Wash, core, and slice organic pears and apples.
- Strawberries, Blueberries and Raspberries:
Rinse strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, and other berries
well under running water.
